Randall N. Stein, MD
Dr. Stein graduated cum laude from Tulane University and went on to receive his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine. He completed a general surgery internship at Abington Memorial Hospital in Pennsylvania before returning to New Orleans. Dr. Stein finished his three-year Residency in Ophthalmology at Tulane University, where he received the prestigious C.S. O’Brien Excellence in Research Award. He completed his training with a Glaucoma fellowship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Glaucoma Society. He has participated in numerous eye-related research projects. He was vice president of the Retina Honor Society at Tulane University.

Originally from New Jersey, Dr. Stein considers the South his home. He lived 12 years in New Orleans, where he met his wife, Freesia, a passionate educator. Dr. Stein enjoys cooking, outdoor activities and brewing beer.
