Dr. James earned his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina, Wilmington, NC and graduated from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. He completed externships at the Feinbloom Low Vision Center, the Thomas Lynch Pediatric and Binocular Vision Unit, the Veterans Administration Medical Center and Carolina Eye Associates.
Professional Highlights:
Dr. James is a member of the American Optometric Association, N.C. State Optometric Society, Piedmont Optometric Society, S.C. Optometric Association and Sports Vision Section of American Optometric Association. Over the course of his career, he has been inducted into the Gold Key International Optometric Honor Society, served as a Southern Diplomat in Glaucoma and corneal diseases and participated in multiple FDA trials for LASIK, PRK and pharmaceutical studies.
